Snowy Morning
Wake
gently this morning
to a different day.
Listen.
There is no bray
of buses,
no brake growls,
no siren howls and
no horns
blow.

the silence
of a city
hushed
by snow.

Since the look of winter has been on my mind as well, I started to think about some of my favorite images of the season and that many of them are from children's literature. An illustrated season can sometimes almost measure up to experiencing the real thing.
So many winters....
